We demolished the existing front counter and removed carpet to allow installation of the IT room floor plate, then framed and built out a new IT room with steel framing, concrete-anchored bottom plates, insulated walls, drywall, and solid doors. We installed fire-retardant plywood backing, new shelving, a new counter with cabinetry below, and completed door framing, hardware, and a closer at the staff entrance. We also installed a ballistic window, ran new 20-amp circuits, and provided quad outlets to support the upgraded IT and security requirements. We finished by painting new walls, doors, and all affected adjacent surfaces to match existing conditions.
