Security upgrade laurier land port of entry
Magnitude: $48,700.24
Completion Date: 7/28/2022
Customer: U.S Custos and Border Protection (GSA)
We completed CBP security upgrades at a historic Land Port of Entry, enhancing the facility’s physical security posture and officer safety without disrupting ongoing operations. Work included installing a secure, locked open-air enclosure around the generator and propane tank using approximately 100 LF of 7’ chain-link fencing with barbed-wire security topping, plus a 4’ man gate and a double swing gate, with posts core-drilled into the existing slab and set in 3,500 PSI concrete to match surrounding finishes. We upgraded the intrusion detection system by installing twenty (20) glass-break sensors, running approximately 1,000 LF of plenum-rated cabling, and providing a twenty (20) channel indicating panel with additional capacity and spare attic stock. We also upgraded three interior doors by installing high-security mortise locksets, preserving and returning historic locksets, and coordinating re-keying and strict lock core chain-of-custody installation requirements with the Port Director.
